Commodity Classification

The Harmonized System is a nomenclature for the classification of products.

 It allows participating countries and logistic carriers to classify traded goods on a common basis for customs purposes and for determining the mode of transport and the type of product.

  • How to classify a product

  • What is the compliance required for that product?

  • What type of mode of transport is required for that product.

  • How do we classify and determine the right type of packaging for that product.

  • How to we advise shippers or Freight forwarders.

  • What knowledge is required to distinguish the product from courier bagging or traveling as general cargo or travelling as specialized cargo?

  • What is specialized cargo and what falls under specialized cargo?

  • What is Hazmat

  • What are products that are not dangerous but still pose a risk to human, aircrafts, trucks and infra-structure?

  • What products fall under Narcotics

  • What products are illegal or banned on B2B or B2C.
